The Digital Middle Earth Project can be broken down into four main work areas:
1. The landscape model
2. The ecosystems
3. The 3d object models
4. The textures
Currently most of my time has been spent on getting the landscape model of Middle Earth as
accurate as possible to the books and to the movie.
Once I am satisfied with the landscape, I will start concentrating on building the
ecosystems of Middle Earth and mapping them to the right locations on the map.
Next will come the 3D objects of Middle Earth. The rocks, buildings, ruins, bridges, walls,
and cities.
The textures I have created for Middle Earth will be reused extensively while I am working
on the ecosystems and the 3D objects. |
